"Many students are involved in extracirriculars and find it easy to make friends that way. However, there are some students who do not do these activities, but also can manage to make friends."

"I have had some great teachers at Maine South that put a lot of time and effort into helping students succeed. I loved going to school because the teachers were always respectful and could easily manage the class and had great lessons."

"I've had some good teachers but also some AWFUL ones. The math department is the ABSOLUTE worst. I went from being the brightest in my class in math to having to drop 2 math classes at Maine South due to terrible teachers. When I came in to my AMA teacher to ask for help one day, and she told me she had better things to do and that I wasn't worth her time, I dropped right away. My senior year I got a C in BC Calc because my teacher wouldn't round. The other BC teacher was incredibly easy and all of her students got As while we all got Cs in my class because it was incredibly difficult. I ended up dropping to AB second semester even though I took AB my junior year. Overall, I didn't have a single good math teacher at Maine South and they genuinely don't care at all how you do. On the other hand, I've only had amazing teachers in the English and Social Science department, decent ones in the Science department, and meh ones in Foreign Language."

"Maine South is not only great in the classroom, but the hallways, gyms, and other events are great too. There are many upsides to going to this school and it was a great learning and life experience."

"I hated every minute I spent at Maine South. After 4 years of misery, I was overjoyed to be able to move on with my life and get away from the crazy, stuck-up, rick-kid stoners that roam the halls of Maine South. College has been the best think for me mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Both my sister and I became mentally depressed during our separate times at Maine South, and a lot of it (if not entirely) was due to the terrible students there. They are honestly the most rude, petty, mean, inconsiderate, and clique-y people I have met in all of my life. I dread coming home even for holidays in fear of running into them. The only people that enjoy Maine South are the people that never move on with their lives and are always stuck in the past, I kid you not."
