"My overall experience with the teaches at Maine South has been kind of across the spectrum. There are good and bad teachers in every department, and I had my fair share of each side over the past three and a half years. Two of my favorite teachers I've had thus far have been my english teachers, one of which has actually been the reason I want to pursue teaching english as a career. But that being said, one of my worst teachers has also been an english teacher. You get your fair share of good and bad teachers, which is kind of typical and to be expected. The math department is an outlier in this though, it's a wonder any of the teachers - besides the department chair - still have their jobs. Overall, besides math, you're bound to get some good, some halfway decent, as well as some bad teachers over the years. Every teacher has their own style, and it depends on how you like to learn and how well you get along with the teacher as a person."

"I wouldn't say great or okay, but more of an in between. Granted, my opinion's more biased since I was purposely put in low level classes with notorious teachers due to being smart enough "handle them", but not being allowed to move up because of my ADHD. (even though other students in my condition were allowed to move up) I more so blame my consilor for this, and my family (including myself) for letting her."

"The english, science, and fine arts teachers are amazing but the math teachers are lacking and hard to learn from"

"The teachers are generally good people who care about the students but do not teach effectively, or in an engaging manner."

"There's plenty great teachers, and a small handful of some teachers that most students don't really like, but if you just focus on what they are teaching not how they are teaching it you'll be fine and you'll most likely not have that teacher ever again."
