"Some teachers are better than others. It is mostly the AP teachers and the honor teachers that work harder than the standard. They are willing to work with you if you ask for help. My AP chem teacher organizes study groups after school. She stays after school for all the struggling students. Although she doesn't get paid extra for staying after school, and although she works more than her paid hours, she still tries to help every single student. She almost never misses a school day, even when she is sick. She genuinely loves chemistry and she wants everyone to succeed. My AP Calculus teacher sets up study groups outside of school. We go to the nearest Barnes and Nobles or cafe and study with him. He sends us remind messages to do our online quizzes and homework. He loves math too. Of course, some teaching styles don't work with some student's learning styles, but they are willing to comply if you tell them. Although Cherokee Trail has great teachers, bad ones do exist. They are the ones who teach regular classes like Health class or are only focused on coaching and teach classes for extra money. They don't love what they do, they only show up for paid hours and their teaching methods suck. But only few teachers are like that. Overall, the teachers are great."

"The teachers at Cherokee Trail High School genuinely care about the success of their students and making sure that they are engaged. They connect their lessons to the outside world as much as possible. They are almost always available to help kids outside of class with preparing for tests or with homework. Most teachers are even willing to hold review sessions before or after school when the students want them."

"Since the school is very diverse, there are a lot of different people. There are gays and transgenders. There are also those who are against gay people. There are the people who do not care about religion, and there are people who are extremely religious. Some even carry bibles everywhere. There are those who care about their grades and there are those who are satisfied with a C. There are those who put a lot of time in their looks, and there are those who show up in their pajamas. There are even those who show up in cosplay and have cat ears. As long as they are not wearing masks, the teachers don't care. There is no apparent evidence of bullying, but it probably does happen. It happens in small groups. There is no big school bully; the school is too big for that. Sometimes people get into fights, but they are broken up the minute they are started. The security guards are very strict on that. Except for school, there is no common core belief that binds the different groups. Peer pressure happens between friends, but there is no influencing force that makes students behave in a certain way. The social scene at school is too chaotic to describe."

"There are many different races and ethnicity at this school, in addition to different sexual orientations."

"The school offers AP courses and IB courses. Academic paths are specialized for the students level. There is no forced level that students have to follow. Students are able to challenge themselves as much as they like and are able to choose their coursework. The highest math class offered is AP calculus b/c and AP statistics. They also offer college courses like CE US History. They have career and technical education that offer classes that will help with pursuing a career. For example, aviation, criminal justice, medical fields, and many more. The AP teachers are very encouraging and want their students to succeed. They care deeply about their students and are willing to work as hard as the student will work. They push students to reach past their potentials. The tools and opportunities are there, but the students just have to put it to use."
