"Our teachers at John Muir are very dedicated to their work and strive for their students to become great. They are there almost everyday after school if you need help and are available through email to ask questions. However, some teachers may be dedicated, but they can not handle their class or lack to show interest in what they're teaching. Also some teachers take a very long time to grade things and consistently don't grade it until the last minute."

"I think what makes this school unique is that we beat the stereotype and we are a dedicated school. There is a stereotype of our school that we're bad kids and our school is only filled with violence. However, that isn't the case at all, far from it actually. Our school is filled with smart kids and each student tries heir hardest to succeed, even if they fail once in a while. We actually have more and more students getting into UCLA every year, so we must be doing something right. And then the violence, there is none of that. They make our school seem like if we're filled with gang's but we're not. Sure there may be an altercation here and there, but what school doesn't have small little fight. We beat our stereotype and we do it the best way possible. We try harder, study harder, score higher, and we don't give up."

"The teachers in the Engineering and Environmental Science Academy are some of the most intelligent, supportive, and caring people I have ever met. Of course there are teachers that aren't as great as teachers or may not care for every single student but for the most part Muir has amazing and supportive people."

"They have different teachers with different types is styles and personality but I think for the most part they are all pretty much equal, some take their time with you; you have to grab their attention . They all want to see you do good for yourself, so they push you to that next level. They are good motivators."
