"I love Westridge because of the involvement in social justice and the knowledge of world events all the students have. There is constantly a dialogue between students about different ideas and movements going on in America. They really assist students growing as people and everyone has a voice. There are also many interesting speakers throughout the year who bring new, inspiring ideas. There is not a single girl at Westridge who isn't motivated and interested in something. At Westridge you can really be yourself and no one feels the need to hide. I have a brother who is touring other private schools in the area and my mom said that after touring all the other schools Westridge is definitely the right school for girls. At all the other schools the girls were afraid to talk and they would wait for the boys to speak. One of the parents on the tour had to ask them if they spoke and had anything to add. At Westridge the students have strong opinions and aren't afraid to voice and discuss them."

"I have one teacher who is absolutely amazing, his name is Mr. Libicki and he teaches my geometry class. Every day he comes in with a fun game to help demonstrate what he is teaching. He makes sure everyone understands the material. In the beginning of the year I was struggling and he met with me every day and my grades dramatically improved, he isn't the only teacher who is like this. All the classes are engaging and you can tell the teachers love their work. I couldn't imagine a better school for becoming a confident woman in a male dominated society. The teachers at Westridge make sure you are true to yourself and (in the words of Mrs. McGregor, our head of school) "our best bold selves.""

"Westridge is an amazing place to be especially as an LGBTQ student. I feel accepted and safe. The community embraces difference and works to create an atmosphere that supports each student wherever they are in their journey as people. While Westridge is extremely academic and rigorous, the administration, teachers, and college counselors all have the outlook that the student's well-being is more important. The adults on campus care about their students and work to support all of us. I also feel extremely empowered to start clubs, host events, and bring up conversations that I want our student body to participate in. Westridge provides the support and resources I need to do what I am passionate about."

"Teachers care about their students and put 100% of themselves into teaching. Because our classes are often discussion based the teachers have an extra challenge of shaping and helping guide that discussion. They do an excellent job of bringing in real world examples and challenging us to think critically about both the material as well as our world and ourselves."

"Alright. Let's be real. High school sucks. You live at home with your parents still. You're still going through puberty and probably haven't completely escaped braces. Things are confusing; people are expecting you to be responsible, but yet you still have a ton of restrictions. Your friends are acting weird. All that being said. I think Westridge is the best option. But it still is high school. You're not going to love every minute of it. But I enjoyed more of my time at Westridge than I think I would've enjoyed it elsewhere. I had lots of friends who accepted me for who I was--weird and gay and not rich and not white. My teachers were one of the best parts of the experience. They never ever failed to be supportive. They stayed extra long hours to do study sessions or just to talk. The advisory program, which matches a group of girls up with a teacher for the four years of high school, was a life saver. I don't know how I would've survived without my advisor. She was like a second mother to me (in all the good ways). I know I got lucky, but really all the teachers there, all the coaches, all the administration want to see you happy and successful (whatever that means to you--they're very open minded). It's one big family. And like all families... Westridge has its quirks and kinks that need to be smoothed out."
