"There are some outstanding teachers, but some are simply collecting a paycheck. The principal does NOTHING other than give lip service to an increasing bullying problem- had a friend's son get his glasses broken and was injured, and the principal declared it an "accident", even though the child who "accidentally" did this had a history of picking on the victim. The principal is quite difficult to communicate with, both for those children whom she does not like, as well as for parents who are trying to resolve issues- very aribtrary, and any rebuttals by parents are met with stiff resistance, instead of any attempt at open and honest dialogue. We are sending our child to another school, out of disgust at the poor "leadership", and would recommend other parents get transfers out, too- that is, unless you want to deal with this kind of garbage."

"My daughter is currently a First Grade Student at Jacobsville! Both her teacher this year and last year are fantastic. Mrs. Herring, Pricipal, is awesome. I am looking forward to many more years at Jacobsville!"

"My son transferred into 3rd grade at Jacobsville this year from another area school and I must say this is his best year ever. He has ADD, so the single classroom setting vs. quads has been a blessing. I can tell he is happier and his grades have improved dramatically. It truly is a wonderful school and the teachers really are great. It's a shame he'll be transferring out again this summer as we are a military family and now headed out to the west coast. It has been a great year so far and I'm excited to see how the rest goes. It really is a blessing when your kid goes from hating school to almost loving it. I give the teachers credit for that. Thank you."
