    "I am extremely happy with the education my two children have received there. They have been there since Pre-K and are now in 1st and 3rd grade. Teachers are all very dedicated and PTA works very hard. It is sad to see a couple of isolated cases dragging down the rating in this web site..."

    "This is my daughters last year at Cockrell and I have seen an improvement in the principals and staff. I hope they keep up the good work for the rest of the kiddos to come. :-)"

    "This is an excellent school. The teachers and staff go out of their way to provide support. It is evident they care about the students. Teachers are very responsive and return phone calls and are available to meet."

    "I am deeply saddened to read these comments about Cockrell and the staff (sounds like a divorced couple and the children are in the middle). My child has gone to Cockrell for 3 years and overall has been positive. However, I do agree that from 2009 - 2011 the staff was rude and very controlling, not protective but controlling. I found the 2nd grade teacher my child had was very inexperienced in dealing with the children's social issues and was at a loss. Also, she did not listen to me, the parent when confronted with this problem. I am hopeful that this year will be better and that the teachers, staff, principal and most of all the school administrator will take note of these comments and work to improve parent/teacher relations. First of all they all need to remember they are only an extension of our arm not the arm. We, the parents, want to be listened to."
