"High School was a challenging time. I do not blame the teachers for my experience and I absolutely had some wonderful teachers. I do not think that all were as clear or patient as the could have been, but overall they taught all necessary information in class, and were usually available after class if a student needed clarification. My favorite teachers were the ones I could connect with about personal things and feel like I could have a good relationship with, this ended up being about half of my teachers in High School."

"All of the staff and faculty at ARHS are very involved with their students. They are talented, knowledgeable, accessible, concerned educators who work hard to provide all students opportunities for success. Co-teaching is often practiced with a general and special education teacher working together to make sure all students receive the support they need. There're numerous languages spoken at ARHS (more than 60) and students have access to one-on-one translators, as needed. Paraprofessionals assist classrooms and support students with special needs. The autism program is excellent. Teachers are available after school to tutor and provide make-up exams. It's easy to feel that all staff and faculty care about the well-being of their students beyond simply academics."

"ARHS is a highly diverse school where all students are made to feel safe and welcome. Students are very considerate of each other, treating members of different ethnic/cultural backgrounds, the LGBTQ community, younger students, and their peers of severe special needs, with respect and kindness. ARHS is a safe and academically rigorous, multicultural community, representing many different countries around the world."

"Although this is a very college-driven school and community, most teachers seem to agree that learning a trade can be just as valuable as academics aiming for college. Not every student needs to attend college in order to be successful. Most students at ARHS plan to go to college, though many take a year off following graduation to further develop their skills and interests."
