"Does anyone if there is a preschool for children who need a language based classroom, such as the one Academy in Manayunk has for grade school? I would love to send my language delayed toddler there but they don't start until first grade?"

"The Academy in Manayunk changed our child's life. When he started at AIM he not only hated school, but also had started to lose faith in the fact that he would be successful at anything. His confidence and sense of self were in serious jeopardy. Through intensive hands-on, research-based interventions our son is performing at grade level (nationally-normed), is the captain of his little league team, and best of all is already thinking about which college he wants to go to. As parents, we are grateful beyond words for the vision and passion that Pat Roberts and Nancy Blair have brought to the field of education."

"This is a great school. My daughter was struggling until we moved her here now she has much more confidence and copes better with her school work. The teachers are great and you know that everyone in the school wants your child to succeed."

"This is a phenomenal school where my child is now for her second year. It specializes in a arts-centric (visual) approach to teaching kids with language/reading based learning disorders. Her progress and self-esteem growth is nothing short of amazing. Many subjects are taught with a 2 or 3:1 student:teacher ratio. Kids receive indiviudalized at-school and at-home work, ensuring they are appropriately challenged and are making the right progress. The school is now up to 96 students, just at the beginning of the third year. Word is spreading amazingly quickly: families from out of state are moving here to attend the school! (P.S. If you need a deeper track record than three years, look at the Lab School in D.C. on which AIM is directly based.)"
