    "(cont...) 2. Academics: GWHS is full of wonderful academic programs, some useless and some useful but all wonderful. The best program for the smartest students is the one and only IB Program which prepares students for college work. You get a roster in which your choice is not given any importance and you would get six torturing classes which you MUST take whether you are good at them or not. IB students do not get a lot of homework. They easily finish there homework till 2:00 AM mostly and also get time to go on the Facebook or procrastinate on Youtube. They don't have to do much. They just have to study for about five tests or quizzes everyday, prepare themselves for the unexpected pop quizzes, do 50 math problems everyday, write labs on their own without help from anybody, read boring english books, write billion essays, do 150 hours of community service, write 4000 word essay on the topics of their choice, try to absorb and understand the theory of knowledge and know if they really exist, give up their lunches to do their homework, run around their school for some advices, think about dropping IB every second.     "Umm where should i start. Does school have anything to do with college. NO ! schools just help you get to college. it has nothing to do with the school. my kids actually love this school. if your child hates this school then thats because its strict. yes this school is preety strict and has alot of security. but in my opinion im actaully impressed by the schools education. I came here when i was a high schooler and now i put my children in here. if your child dislikes this school its obvious that your child just hates school. my child has a friend who goes here and says " i wouldnt go anywhere else " so never judge a school because of what students are saying. Actually alot of students rated this school 5 stars. yes this school is rowdy afterschool but hello one thousand and something kids what do you expect. GWHS is preety good school and has ALOT of sports and clubs. Its not dirty at all and the field is beautiful. This is the only popular school in philadelphia that has NEVER been on the "Philly's Most Dangerous Schools List". If you do not believe me then go right on ahead and research it yourself. I Like Washington and so do my kids. Gwhs is a good school. ^___^"

    "My cousin had came to GWHS. He goes to Pennstate Now but im going to GWHS and im in 9th grade and so far i love this school..the security is nice to you...school isnt that strict but its still a very safe school... I <3 GWHS and all my friends there...the PSSA scores are starting to get higher...well thats at least what my teacher told me..and now everyone is doing good so we can get cool things...our school just got smartboards 2 years ago and they are so cool. Pros: Great School, Safe School, great Teachers, Fun sports, Good school if you want to go to college, People are nice, Neightboorhood is quiet. Cons: Bathrooms are never available because of cleaning :( i went to Edison High school but was thretend to get shot... so my mom transfered me to GWHS.. i feel safer now :D"

    "from crushes.............to tutors.......I absolutely love my school I spent all 4 yrs there and its was great. The staff took there time to teach me and even help me with perosnal problems. During me junior and snior yr I had went thru the most depressing time in my life. My counselor helped me and that really touched my heart....thanks so much g-dub..ill never 4 get you...So proud to say that i GRADUATED FROM GEORGE WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL!"
