"I enjoy the attention I get to help me succeed musically. The academic teachers care about the well being and education of every child."

"I went to this school as did my 3 sisters. It's a great school academically and musically and produces well rounded productive members of society."

"GAMP consisted of 10% truly talented musical wonders, 30% budding musicians who try hard and practice, and 60% people who seemed to not care or appreciate music and complain that GAMP "isn't a normal school". If you want to go to a normal school, then go to a normal school. However GAMP is shifting to be more "normal" with the presence of the new principal changing up things. I really didn't understand why some people who could care less about the music curriculum applied to GAMP and why GAMP accepted some of these people. While the spring and winter concerts are meh because everyone (including non-music oriented students) are required to perform, the musicals are amazing every year, since this is when the music students shine. Academics wise, the small school atmosphere really plays an advantage because teachers give more attention to the students, and if you're a passionate student, recommendation letters needed for college application becomes really easy to ask for. While I was a shy student in middle school, I think coming to GAMP helped me speak up and participate more because I felt comfortable in the smaller school, instead of drowning in a sea of students and not being noticed. One thing I didn't like about academics when I went to GAMP was how little advanced classes there were, but they are adding more AP and honors classes every year."

"I attended through my high school years and it was a fun experience for the most part. I took part in Concert Choir, but quit because they played favorites on students. Some teachers need to be fired. I tried to excel in my studies, but certain teachers also play favoritism and/or don't want to you to succeed. This cause your grades to drop, even if you try your best. The school lunches were terrible, usually weird texture or had plastic wrapping burned into it. It's a very small school so there's not much AP options. Would I do it again? No, I'd probably go somewhere else."

"Despite its cons, I am glad I made the choice to return to this school for my high school career. GAMP, when compared to other high schools, is very small as it consists of about 250 total high school students. Because of this, everyone essentially knows each other and everything about each other. However, the size of the school as well as its staff makes the experience one of a kind. You get a level of student-teacher interaction that you can hardly find at any other school, where with the small amount of students, the teachers are willing to stay behind after hours to help you. You also find students willingly staying after school when there is no need to, just to practice or to help out. There are somethings you cannot experience at others schools that you will experience at GAMP. The school also allows you to blend together the music arts and academics, allowing you to balance the two as you desire."
