"I attended Houston for nine years in the 50's. I don't know how the school has changed since then but I would pit my education against anyone in my age group. Even then the school was outdated and yet the staff always put the needs of the students first. I hope that this tradition continues to live on."

"above average we have great things in our school like art music gym computers. But the only thing our school is missing is Spanish and other languages."

"I have been at Houston for 3 administrations, each were valuable for what they accomplished. Everyone should send their children to Houston for the dedicated teachers and staff. Under the new Principal there is new energy, enthusiasm of students, and great staff morale. Houston has now risen to new heights."

"Neighborhood school has deteriorated since current principal took over in '99. Reputation had been on the upswing until then."
