"As a senior about to graduate, I look back on my 7 years at Penn Charter with mixed feelings. The challenging academics and vigorous requirements were always a struggle for me. Not only was it hard to keep up, but it was sometimes hard to understand why my friends at public schools didn't have hours of homework each night. However, looking back on the experience, I can see how much it has shaped me. Going through high school is difficult, but I gained tremendously important skills that give me a huge advantage over others my age. The constant testing and homework also teaches us maturity, and allowed us to blossom into hardworking adults. I know that the price is extremely high, and the work is difficult, but Penn Charter truly is a wonderful school. It offers something for everyone; if you wish to be involved, you can certainly do so. Sports are a large aspect of student life, but for those like myself who are not interested in sports, you may manage a team and spend more of your time in the brand-new 14-million dollar performing arts center. No school is perfect, and PC certainly has its faults, but overall, going here has shaped me into an adult equipped for the world."

"I, too, have four children, although not all of them received the full PC education. Coincidentally, I have two girls and two boys. Small world, isn't it? Well, anyway, I sent my oldest to GA, thinking it would be the right choice because of all I'd heard about it. I sent my second oldest to AFS, my third to Springside, and my youngest, to PC. The first couple of years my oldest was at GA, he deeply enjoyed it, but after that he got bored. The curriculum was simple and way too easy, so I started looking at other, more exciting and interesting schools. Since my youngest really loved PC, I sent him there. My older son immediately transitioned with ease. The same happened with my girls, and so they all ended up at PC. It's easier to have them all on the same schedule. They all ride the bus together and share some activities, but they also have time away from each other, which I think is a great thing. They all have their own friends and do their own things and they always look forward to school and doing their homework and seeing their friends. They love it and so do my husband and I."

"This is my son's first year at William Penn Charter School. He came from a smaller Friends School in NJ with about a total of 200 students from PreK thru 8th. He has grown both academically and socially. He joined their football and baseball and earned a seat in the Student Council. Overall, it has been a wonderful first year experience and his 11 year old brother will be attending their Middle School as a 6th grader this fall."

"Students at Penn Charter are taught to value people's differences in the realm of academics, athletics and the arts. The diverse community at PC operates on the basic Quaker principle that there is that of God in everyone. By stewarding each other and the environment, each parent, student and graduate helps to make our world better every day."
