"Poor leadership but good teachers. I would have love to keep my child enrolled here, but Mr. Brown does not reflect the dimension of true leadership. It is the teachers who keeps this school running as well as they can. There has been tremendous change, including foreclosure, bus issues, and communication issues to say the least. I was a huge proponent for this school and hope that its leadership/foundation is evaluated before it comes tumbling down."

"I will agree that this school challenged my daughter intellectually. I LOVED the curriculum. However, they do lack organization and cleanliness. That includes pickup time. There were times when the children were allowed to go traipsing around the school to sales or other classrooms without my notice or adult supervision (during and after school). The bathrooms were always horrific. There were a couple incidents of bullying, which I know is eminent anywhere (but that lacked control and interjection by staff). This to me became serious enough to pull her from the school. The staff is friendly for the most part."

"Ahwatukee Foothills Prep is a fabulous educational environment for students. The school is presently in a state of flux because the location is in transition. Mosaica, the parent company, has worked with AFP to accomodate all of the children and their parents during this transitional time. Field trips and enrichment activities/projects have been going on all this week, at little or no cost to the parents. Bus routes have continued so the parents do not need to transport their child(ren) to/from the alternate location. When school is in session, the teachers diversify the lessons to meet the needs of each individual student., that is why a student may have a "piece of paper with 10 items to choose from. Is this school the correct education choice for every child/family...no. Is it a fabulous educational institution...YES!"

"This school has a lot of issues. They have the possiblility to be a great school, but it just doesn't come together. The teachers seem to spend more time baby sitting than anything else. I removed my daughter from this school and moved her to Rover. I am so happy with her new cirrciculm. AFP teachers teach, but don't have a format to get the kids to the level where they should be. Homework is a joke and only a few teachers grade homework. My daugher received a piece of paper with 10 items she had to choose to do, and then turn it in on Friday. What happen to the day when our children were corrected. One suggestion the school needs to take very serious is school pick up. It is horrific, with the high probability of a kid being taken. There is no organization. My kid was allowed to be picked up by a young lady who cannot pass for a parent. My daughter was taken off campus and the school had no clue. My daughter also had an accident at school and complained. I came to pick her up, and they didn't even know where she was. This school is a law suit wating to happen. I even called up there once and a student answered the phone. CRAZY RIGHT."

"i am a student here at afp and all i have to say is i am smarter than the teachers and staff here. i have already learned what i learned this year in the 5th grade! i am going to change schools this year because of the 0 support effort of the teachers and staff. i am also going to change because of the very poor behavioral issues in the school. i couldn't ever focus on my work because the teachers couldn't control the classrooms. not a good school. i would never recommend this school."
