"Open enrolled in Diamond Canyon 3 years ago and have not looked back. Bullying on the playground and son put in divider room between K classes for several hours without parent or principal knowledge. I will drive to get the education my child needs and is fostered in."

"This school was highly recommended to us as one of the best in Anthem. We had much higher expectations based on their rating and it was a huge disappointment. This school has way more cons than pros. People that send their children to Gavilan Peak obviously have never attended any another schools to compare it to and have no idea of the better options available to them."

"This school has continued to go downhill over the last few years. The campus is run down, dirty and lacks supervision from aides and teachers alike, unsuitable for the education, safety and supervision of the students. Theft is a problem in the classroom of students belongings as there are very few supplies and textbooks available and the teachers seemed overwhelmed by the class sizes. The troublemakers seem to run the show here."

"I went here for grade 5 and had the teacher tell me she could no longer help me with math, move me next to people who were bullying me and all they do if you have a problem is tell you to "fill out a form". I did and nothing was ever done to stop it. I'm glad I don't have to go back! Classes are crowded and kids actually twerked on their desks in Mandarin. No wonder the teacher quit!"

"We were not happy with the 6th grade experience. One of the teachers is, the other two are not up to par. Normally involved parents become disconnected; the teachers want little or no parental involvement. One of the teachers does not handle herself in a professional manner. She humiliates and talks about students. Normally bright kids feel defeated and don't perform. She does not work with students or parents. Everything is done solely to improve state test scores. The male teacher is supposed to teach Science. That is a joke! He waits until the last weeks then does a quick lesson, with homework, 1 classwork & 1 test. This is not a fair practice! There is no opportunity to pull a grade up, if a student doesn't do well on 1 or the 3 criteria. The principal does nothing to correct the problem. He is ineffective. Even after parents talk to him, nothing changes. The Elementary Honor Society really changed this year after the old teacher left. There weren't any field trips scheduled for the group or any of the Sage classes. The kids really looked forward to the extra field trips. Hopefully these issues are resolved quickly!"
