"Ms.Michelle, the principal, is very involved with the staff, and children. She makes a visit to all activities and main events that she physically can. On the other hand not all the teachers present professionally and it is reflected in their ability to manage their classrooms. There is a problem with bullying, and the Kyrene district does not have a productive discipline plan in place. The bullies continue to bully and their targets remain their targets. If a target finally has enough and strikes back because the adults have not managed the bully the target child is punished as an aggressor. The system is not balanced and works in favor of the bully. this is a district problem, not just this school."

"The majority of the teachers that serve this school are smart and dedicated. However, I must say the principal is lenient and backs down to the students. I recommend a different school."

"My daughter goes there. There was 3 different situations with the girls this year... fights and mean katty talk among them. However the teachers stepped right in before these situations developed into real fights and in each occasion all the girls bridged right back to friends again. That to me is impressive. Very happy to know the staff is hands on with the students and that the kids are comfortable enough to go them with things like this."

"My son went there for 6th thru 8th grade. Beware, the school has a police officer stationed onsite. Maybe there is a reason for this? I won't elaborate. Teaching staff is friendly and dedicated. Curriculum is pretty much straight AIMs material. I'd give the school a B-."

"I love Centennial, although it is reffered to as the "ghetto school" and in the students opinion, is ignored by the Kyrene School District. It has it's imperfections like any other middle school, and yes there are fights every now and then but it's really easy to stay out of that knd of stuff. It also has a million clubs and sports to try. When you leave Centennial it feels like your leaving your family because by 8th grade you become really close to your teachers and the kids in your pod, i left with many great memories and I know that anyone who goes there will too. oh and 8C ROCKSSS ;)"
