"Fairmount Elementary has been my two sons' school since they started in kindergarten, and they are now in 3rd & 4th grade. It is an awesome school that allows much parent participtation in their child's education process. The teacher's are outstanding, and the principal, Mr Thompson, is an excellent leader!"

"Fairmount Elementary is an outstanding school, with respect to academic programs, 'specials' (art, music, gym), as well as parent and community involvement. Community businesses support school fund raisers, as many of the business owners are former students. Parents routinely volunteer their time at Fairmount. Sometimes this means a 'lottery' selection is done when only a certain number of volunteers are required. Students are encouraged to excel in areas they are naturally talented in. Music, art and physical fitness are enjoyed by the students on a weekly basis so they have a good mix of all 'specials.' The school focuses on the children, but they also make sure the staff and teachers are happy with their jobs. Happy teachers and staff help make happier students! It's almost like going back in time 50 years! It's a wonderful school that provides a family atmosphere for the children to learn in!"

"As far as public schools go, this one is pretty good. It seems to have a better rounded curriculum that some other nearby schools. While its CSAP scores are high, the school has also introduced my son to a lot of knowledge of art and music appreciation."
