"Pine Valley Elementary is gem in this community. My children are in combination classess and have the same teacher for two years...like or not. However every teacher, aide, and other staff members know my children by name. Besides the rigorous curriculum, my children are learning emapthy, comnpassion, tolerance, and life skills that will prepare them for life after school. The children at this school are still children!"

"I have two children at this school and a third is getting ready to start. We only have an art and music program because of the PTA and other parent volunteers. Our children rarely get to use computers. There isn't a library and the aids are incredibly strict at recess. The principle is not there half of the time because we have to share her with another school. The teachers are excellent and very thoughtful of the children. I feel very blessed to have my children going to this school though (because of the teachers) despite all of the negative stuff."

"My two students are receiving an excellent quality education at Pine Valley. I know because I have a Master's Degree in Education. The curriculum is rigorous and the teachers are supportive and caring. A lot of the classes are split so that they can maintain a class size of 20 in K-2 and the third graders are split among three teachers. While this is far from ideal, the teachers work hard to ensure that all children get equal attention."

"Don't believe the class size ratings they show on this site. Our classes are an average of 19-30 per class. We do not have a computer room, or a functioning library. We do not receive the same funding as other schools because or scores are so high. The state feels we do not need it as much. It's a great shame. We do not have a 5th grade teacher either because we can't afford one. All of the children there are very respectful though."
