"We love this school!!. My daughter have been there for 2 year now. When we relocated to Pittsburgh, EVERYBODY said that we must go to the suburb if we want good public education. With a little research we found that Linden would be a good option and have been an excellent choice. Linden offers a good education in a diverse environment, it is a mixed community, that represent our society. The German Program is a plus and now start the Chinese Mandarin program, only school in the city that offer that. Now that we want to buy a house...the house must be within the city because we do not want to loose Linden."

"I've had one child graduate from here, and I have one child currently enrolled. I agree with much of what has been said here about Linden. I would add that Linden's test scores are above all other Pgh Public Elementary schools in all subjects. One of the reasons, I think, is the high value all the enrolling families appear to place on education. While families here are different in income and backgrounds, they are the same in this one value. Thus, kids' home environments are already very enriched, and families are achievement-oriented. A large percent of kids test at the Gifted And Talented levels. What is really weird about this school is how the curriculum and environment are so out-of-whack with the clientele. The environment is rigid, 'old-school' regressive, impersonal, and punitive. It has all the resources to be in every corner of the school creative, warm, flexible, and highly encouraging."

"My son is in his third year at Linden- he's in 2nd grade - and is receiving an excellent education. I've been pleased with the teachers and the style suits his personality very well. It is a tight ship - discipline is a priority, but in my opinion, that is necessary for a good public school. I agree that K is for the prepared student. My son, with a summer birthday was 6. studentsutdeint."
