"Our son is in his second year at Schiller. After sending my eldest son to a different middle school in the city, we have a new appreciation of the word 'principal'. He is very involved, regularly participates in activities and leaves voice messages at home regarding upcoming events, activities and issues regarding school. As concerned parents, we keep in touch with our son's teachers via email once a week. We find that if you show interest in your child's education the teachers are willing to go the extra mile to help whenever necessary. My son was able to take a trip to Washington D.C. with his classmates, win a medal in the science fair and particate in a teacher/parent/child book club last year."

"This is the 2nd year my son has attended this middle school. We- his parents- are both academics. Our son came from a very fine private school and so far, we have been very happy with the education offered at Schiller. It has an outstanding music program that includes a terrific instrumental teacher and a wonderful choir/music appreciation/musical curriculum. The english teachers have been wonderful in supporting creative writing and reading. The Spanish teacher is great and the math instruction has been consistent, organized and disciplined. The school actively participates in science fairs and writing competitions. Students are taken to plays, concerts and other extra-curricular, developmental activities. The school hosts plays and musicals. The principal does a fine job encouraging both students and teachers in sometimes challenging circumstances. We have been pleased with this school, its teachers and administration in every respect. We highly recommend this school."

"My children have been to many different schools around the U.S.A. an the principal is by far the most mean spirited I've ever come across. The quality of the teachers leaves much to be desired. Of the 3 years that my child attended this school, only 5 teachers exceeded my expectations. There is a true lack of sensitivity to the different characters and backgrounds from which these children come from. A child's home environment and background have a tremendous effect on their school success and it is up to the school to be sensitive to that. The curriculum is great, but those who instruct it...not so great."
