"Our child attends this school. Teachers are hit and miss. New school where focus is our test scores only! We also take our other child to the YWCA Program that uses the pool. He has attended since the fall, 8 months and you would think the Principal could walk his school to see a hole in the Boys Locker Room that is 2 ft by 3 ft. As I said, no focus other than insuring test scores meet funding standards. We have friends whose children attend South and rave about it. Keep clear of this school."

"As a student, I believe West Windsor North hones in on students who are over achieving. There is underlying racism, where Caucasians and African Americans are given less of an opportunity than the Asian population from the faculty. However, most students are open to other cultures. The administration is horrific! They can care less about the students and talk to them as if they are incompetent. The faculty can careless about students as well, unless youre outspoken or getting As. Most students here cheat and many teachers could care less. This is probably why the school has such high ratings. Everything is a competition. Many students apply to ivy leagues and constantly rave about them getting scholarships to places like Princeton or Brown. Counselors do not regularly check in with students who are applying for colleges or who are struggling. The idea of "Self-directed learning" is prominent. This makes most teachers lazy, only showing "educational videos" during class periods, speaking from experience. Most AP classes are also "self-directed" which means, as a student, I learn less from my teachers and frequently have to pay for tutoring. Overall this school is just okay."

"Nah As a student who actually attends the environment is pretty awful. The teachers don't care, the school is a blue ribbon school because a lot of smart kids go to North and work crazy hard. If the same students that go to North went to another school, that school would have a blue ribbon too."

"Great school......I see some of these comments and I believe its too diverse for some people. If you are one of those parents who just want their kids to have fun, find another school. This school is for goal oriented kids, other kids don't last here too long.."

"These reviews are highly misleading. The school has a strong Asian culture due it being 80% Asian. As a Caucasian, I didn't feel like I fit in. The school teachers actually generally aren't even that good. The reason why the school does so well is because many of the students are just naturally intelligent, as we would classify by conventional measures. If an individual isn't naturally smart, the school administration will oppress that individual. It makes for a beyond stressful environment. It's overly competitive. I didn't have academically exceeding grades like everyone else; I had average. But that wasn't good enough for the school. I don't have superior math/english aptitudes. So the school forced an IEP on me. It made me feel subjected. The extra help actually made it harder for me to work and when I asked for the IEP to be removed, they added more services. Then they put me in Special Ed. I was feeling insignificant... stupid. I went to the school psychologist for help; the principle called me out of class gave me a detention for "skipping class." If you want your child to have psychological and esteem issues, send them here. It's waayyy too harsh for public school."
