"SBHS saved my daughters academic life. After getting Ds and Fs during her freshman year at a very competitive Orange County high school, she found her way at SBHS. The small class size, faculty & counselor support and overall environment motivated her to become a serious student. After receiving all As and Bs she attended a major PAC 12 university where she graduated in less than four years and now has a successful professional career. SBHS made her accountable and she responded. A Viking forever!"

"As a parent and former student, I'm very dissatisfied with the leadership at St. Bernard this year. Teachers that have been around for years are leaving midyear, and the constant fundraising have left a bad taste in my mouth. I will be searching for another school for my youngest child."

"Mediocrity at its best! A big disappointment. I've found that parents who are satisfied with the level of academics, extracurriculars, services and support provided by the faculty and staff have extremely low expectations and do not have any idea what an incoming college freshman at a top-rated university, looking to compete on a global scale looks like. These kids graduate with wonderful grades in their senior year, some get accepted into decent colleges and universities and then find that they were not prepared to compete with their fellow peers from other schools around the country. I've seen it myself with several of the kids and its very sad. I suppose if you're simply looking for a school that will shelter your child, by having an extremely small population, adhere to uniforms and provide a safe, gang-free environment, then you should be fairly please with this school. However, this school looks like a joke compared to othe college prep, private and independent schools in the Los Angeles area. To send your child to this school is to limit their scope of reality in such a severe way that he/she will be severely unprepared to survive and compete at a college level."

"We are new to SBHS this year - we are very happy. We are also a very involved family and have our hand in many things offered. Everyone knows each other, the students are very respectful always addressing parents as Mr. and Mrs. It does have some issues - all schools do, however they are being addressed. There are a lot of rumors that are simply just not true but I guess you have to be part of the SBHS family to know that. Despite all the rumors and bad information we were fed by various people, once we shared our intent to attend SBHS, we stuck to our guns and have not regretted our decision; not one day! Do not listen to the rumors, come see for yourself what a great opportunity this hidden gem of a school has to offer your son or daughter. Go VIkings!"

"SBHS was one of my top two choices of school. It has only been 60 days and the teachers appear to be awesome. The office lady is wonderful. It has made me concern because I find that the communication from the upper management is terrible. I am wondering if I made the wrong choice."
