"My child is in the gifted program. Each child is given an individual gifted plan, however, to my knowledge all are taught the same. My child never brought home different assignments from the rest of the class to highlight areas of giftedness. I feel my child could have been more challenged and am disappointed with the program. No foreign language is taught which is also a disappointment."

"Useless and arrogant administration. All politics and no substance. Throwing money into a situation does not correct the problems."

"We have two students at this fantastic school. The facility itself is less than two years old, is full of amenities, and provides an inspiring place to learn. The parental involvement is very high, which is always a positive in my opinion. The administration is open to ideas and is able to recruit top teachers. Both of my kids have first time teachers this year, something we were concerned with going into the year. Both have been great. Again, the administration was able to recruit top new teachers and did an excellent job setting up a mentoring program for them. The school attracted and retains some excellent and very experienced teachers as well. Many top teachers jumped at the opportunity to work at this new school, in an affluent area with a great reputation. The school offers several after school enrichment programs for every grade level. As a graduate of Florida public schools I can only imagine how much more successful I would have been in life had I attended the great schools of the northeast. But for those of you that choose to live in lowly Florida, it would be difficult to find a better school than Heron Heights."

"If this is your first school and you have nothing to compare it to, you will probably be happy with this school. Or if you are comparing this school with other Florida schools, you will likely be happy, because it is better than other public schools in FL. However, if you have had any experience in a decent school in almost ANY state outside of Florida - you WILL be disappointed. Though there are some wonderful dedicated teachers, the education level is 1 to 3 years behind other state's public schools. There is good reason why families leave this state, in mass exodus, in order to give their kids a better education. If education is a family priority, run like the wind."
