"It's not a bad school. Just be careful not to think it's an upper middle school because you think that it's an upper middle area. You will see a lot of rough students are bussed in and it draws from a foster home with some tough kids too. It can't be helped. Also the area not as good as you might think. Look carefully. You can't always judge a book by it's cover. It will depend on the teacher and you'll never ever see the principal. Never. I don't think parent involvement is encouraged either. But it's not an awful school."

"Pick your school based on parental involvement not just the teacher. I used this site to come to our conclusions on where we wanted to move and saw that this school was a consistent high performer compared to other Broward schools but wasn't suspiciously perfect. I say suspicious because I actually think the drive for perfection is ripe for gaming the system...ie holding back kids with ESL, learning disabilities, behavior disorders rather than providing them with extra guidance in order to boost test scores per grade level. Winston Park seems to strive for a healthy balance where the faculty really care about the three way relationship between teacher, parent, and children. This is a good school because parents are given input and allowed to participate as a partnership with the teachers. A bad school never gives parents an opportunity to be informed or form an alliance with their kids teachers. I find it hard to imagine that such a school exists but many districts just have bad relations with parents/students because the families are primarily concerned with survival not education. This section of Coconut Creek is a upper middle income area. Education is a priority."

"Winston Park has fabulous teachers. The one's my child has had are caring and want to see her succeed. The problem with Winston Park is the administration. The principal is rude. She talks down to parents and if opinions differ she raises her voice to get her point across. Your concerns will not be addressed."

"Winston Park Elementary is giving my child the guidance she has needed. Though she is only in 2nd grade I could she her changing in a good direction. I am grateful to her first grade teach Mrs. Lustig who took the time and effort to support her and I with my daughter's reading skills. I also have to say that the Principal and the teachers are very friendly and caring. The PTA and volunteers make a difference in Winston Park Elementary. I would recommend WPE to anyone. It does help that this will be the 8th year they have scored A in the district."
