"My daughter just started at the end of August. She's never been to daycare so this is her first time around a group of kids her own age. She's adjusting well with the kids & excited. The problem is the staff. One day I arrived early & was the 1st parent in the pick up line, no one put my kid in the car but parents behind me got their kid & left. I thought the rule was first come, first served. Excuse me if I'm wrong. My kid has asthma, I'm noticing I'm being called to pick her up every time she coughs. Ive been dealing with her asthma since she was a baby & her triggers are a common cold & smoke. I provided a asthma action plan & meds but it seems that the nurse doesn't want to follow the every 4hr rule and give her the inhaler. Instead I'm being called to pick her up. When I check on her, shes smiling, playing, singing & to my observation she can remain at school. If they're going to call me to get her every time she clears her throat, it makes no sense for her to go to school. I'm serious thinking bout pulling her out to go to another school or let her start home school. I'm disappointed. I was excited for her to come to BES since I heard some many good things about it."

"Brusly Elementary is a new experience for me as a parent. I have attended Brusly Schools as a child and I have worked very hard to be able to let my child be a student at Brusly Elementary. Thus far I have been very confident with all of the staff I have met and the enrollment process. Every parent must have the same fear with sending their child off to school and I can say I feel very comfortable and look forward to the school year."

"I am a grandparent of three students that have and one still will attend this year. I have nothing but praises for the Faculty and staff that go above and beyond the duty! They made the transitions easier for the kids and for us. They have gone out of their way to help us time and time again with issues like, uniforms, school supplies, personal issues with the kids. As each one of our grandchildren leave this school to move to another, it saddens me and I can only hope that the other ones are following some big footsteps."

"Brusly Elementary School is an excellent school. My daughter attended from K-2 grades. Now my son is in 1st grade there and I couldn't be happier with the school. His teacher is Ms. Babin and she is wonderful. Her style of teaching seems to work well for my son. He was just nominated Student of the Month. I'm on the PTO and volunteer quite a bit at the school. Mrs. Supple is an excellent principle and now they have added an Assistant Principle, Mrs. Sheila Goins. Both Mrs. Supple and Mrs. Goins are wonderful administrators and are always willing to listen to my concerns. I wish there were more shcools like Brusly Elementary in the State of Louisiana."

"My daughter is in first grade. Her teacher is Ms. Ashley Babin. Payton has been at BES since Kindergarten and her teacher then was Ms. Sabra Smith. These two women have made my life so much easier. I know that when I drop my baby off that she's going to learn and be taken care of. It's like building a house, Ms. Smith laid the foundation and now Ms. Babin is putting up the walls. I couldn't be more pleased with my daughters teachers and all the staff at BES. All friendly faces and kind hearts. I am so thankful for BES taking care of my baby girl!"
