"We moved here and West Gate K-8 was my granddaughters first public school. They love it. The teachers are great and they have adapted well."

"They focus on the child being balanced, by encouraging learning yet focusing on different values to improve their overall student experience. I appreciate the fact that they strive to maintain their 'A' rated school status while still allowing each child to be unique."

"Westgate K-8 is unlike any school my kids ever attended. The school requires the kids to be respectful of themselves and of others. I feel that they do this by: Strongly enforcing the dress code (if a person looks good/presentable they feel good or confident about themselves), Encourages the students to take a non confrontational approach when dealing with issues ( if child learns young that issues can be resolved in ways other than aggression or confrontation they will grow up using that learnt behavior in their high school and then on in their adult lives), and Stressing the importance of performing well academically, so that they can continue to have pride in being an 'A' School ( having a since of something you take pride in can make a person a little more passionate about continuing to perform well). Westgate is a school that shows that they care not just for our kids while they are enrolled at Westgate, but that they care right now and well into their futures."
