    "Krieger is a very frustrating school. They "bus in" about 80% of the students from the Smith Street projects because members of the "neighborhood" including teachers and adminstration that work for the City schools and live in the area will not even send their children to the school. Where does the high school principal send his children? Not to Krieger. So if Krieger is not good enough for the teachers and administration's children, then that tells you a whole lot. We are doing our damdest to sell our home or pay for private school. Our child is the top of the class and there are no services to support gifted children. If your child is disadvantaged or at risk, then the City of Poughkeepsie SD is for you. Otherwise, they number the children like prisoners, they feed horrible food and they barely get recess. The arts, music and library teachers show movies (and even the gym teacher has). They go once a week to specials and the teachers have to show movies? I don't even show movies to my children at home. The new principal was fired from the HS and is a total joke. She can keep it together. The BOE probably hasn't even stepped foot in any of the schools."

    "I'm so in love with Krieger school it is the best elementary school inthe district. My daughter has been in Krieger for the past three years kindergarten first grade and now second she is so in love with her education here I couldn't ask for a better staff here and now this year 2011-12 my son is attending kindergarten here at Krieger we havemoved and I made sure we move withinthe district because I don't know what I would do without Krieger I came through the district myself and Krieger is the same as it was years ago :) kudos to the great parents teachers and the rest of the staff @ Krieger b/c KRIEGER ROCKS"

    "My daughter goes to this school. Im very shocked to see this as only a 2nd rated school. Where as this school does a ALOT of students and the teachers do have to at times scream in order to get them under control, I dont feel that is THERE fault. I myself feel that the Principal should do alot more to make sure those kids are doing and acting the way they should. My daughter has a VERY good teacher who pushes her to do her best at all times!!"
