"The teachers are wonderful, and I like the small atmosphere but I have noticed that the director treats her staff pretty badly. It seems as though she does not get to know the children and blames her her staff for anything she "misses." It is a shame because the school would excel with some better leadership. The school does not embrace or utilize technology and does not have a library or cafeteria, which incoming parents should just be aware of."

"So what would you do with a bright, curious, great third grader who was getting more and more depressed in his public school, was misunderstood by many teachers, and was deciding that he was not smart? Fortunately for our family, three people recommended the Lewis School. Immediately we felt that the small class size, the understanding teachers, the upscale, independent curriculum (batik, poetry, class trips all over Princeton), and the systematic, daily remediation were the answer to our prayers. Four years later, he reads and comprehends on the level of a 20 year old. His self esteem is better, and he is a calm, happy, sociable young man. Thank you, Mrs. Lewis for finding your teachers and staff, and for persevering for nearly 40 years. All children are different, but for many, this is the place that gives you your bright, learning different child back."

"I wish we had found this school sooner. Getting in earlier would have saved our child a lot of pain and our family a lot of worry. Some brains just don't fit the fast-paced, super enriched learning environment that exists now in both public and private schools. The Lewis community helped us see all the good in our creative, sensitive, empathic child."

"Lewis School not only taught our dyslexic son to read after the public school system failed him but it also gave him a sense of community & belonging that he never had in public school. Our son summed it best when after his first day at the Lewis School he said "Dad, I am not going to fight with you & mom about going to school any more." Mrs Lewis was the first educator that truly help our son & gave us a sense of optimism about his future. We are eternally grateful that she has dedicated her life to helping children with learning differences."

"I'm a former student of the Lewis School and went there for three years. I learned so many things when I first went there I read on a 6th grade level witch is fine if I had been in sixth grade. However I was in eleventh grade, and math good grief still couldn't multiply either. I was such a physical and emotional mess when I got there..This school saved my life!!! I graduated with my GED and took the college prep classes. went to college and took the classes I want to and did very well. I am now a happy and sucessfull woman.
