"In 2011-2012, my son was in Kindergarten. He blossomed quickly and the school took notice. They developed an enrichment program for him (reading with a teacher in 1st grade; AR early; while the other students were being taught math, he was on the computers. His teacher had him test for the gifted program. Thankfully he is in the PT gifted program in 1st grade. The school has to allow the teacher to teach and not just hand out worksheets. The kids deserve more. RECESS NEEDS TO BE IN PLACE AGAIN. Maybe the overall school grade will improve once you let kids UNWIND. They get yelled at lunch and this is their only unwind time. That irks me IMMENSELY."

"Worse school ever! The staff always acts as though there is something up their rear ends. The assistant principal is constantly yelling at the students. It seems as though she has a quota to meet each day of how many times she can scream at the students. The front office staff is always rude. They never know what is going on. The teachers don't care about teaching. They are incredibly insulting to parents who want to help their children improve on their grades. Parents are not informed about anything going on. No one is happy."

"I really like this school as it is an arts school. The prinicipal is caring and responsive to individuals needs as well as school wide needs. I am very impressed with the loving teachers and staff. It is a big school, but it feels smaller and homey. I highly recommend SCPE."

"I highly recommend this school. My son is in this school last year when he is in kindergarteen under Miss Driggers. I am really satisfied of what he is learning. The AR program is great. He is so excited on learning new words and new things. The speech therapy department is doing a good job too. I am sad to transfer him because of the distance from home to school."

"Since the new principle has come to the school everything has gone down hill. I have been to the school 3 times already this school year 2010/2011 to address problems with teachers. One teacher was calling the kids "TURDS". My children are straight A students and recently both were given failing grades in music. It turned out the teacher pretty much just made up the grades because she said " I have over 900 students you can't expect me to remember them all". The principle is pretty much useless and doesn't seem to have any control over her staff."
