"Don't count on this school improving with a new principal! I've known 5 principals and they were all awful. Yes, there is political bias, cliques of parents and students, poor communication between parents/teachers/administrators, large class size, poorly chosen curriculum and little extra help available. Do your kids a favor and enroll them in public school."

"Was not what I thought at all. Keep your money in your packet if your not Catholic. I found it to be politically bias along with others who are afraid to post so I am letting you know if your not high powered you will be treated disrespectful. The principal another story good bye to him. He is leaving. Maybe the school will get better. I don't know and will not be there to find out."

"The teachers and staff at St. Raphael have not only challenged my child academically, but have modeled true Catholic values that leave my child feeling loved and cared for each day. They work hard to keep parents in the loop, to provide a various opportunities for extension of the curriculum, and experiences that allow for students to give back to their community- a perk of the Jesuit influence. Tuition is a sacrifice I will gladly make for my children to continue their education at this school."

"My three children attend this Jesuit Catholic school. We chose it, after being constantly disappointed over the years by WCPSS schools. The school is significantly more rigorous than nearby public schools -- on average, I would say (at the elementary and middle school levels) the curriculum is a full year ahead of the district schools. The school adequately marries love and support with strictness about behavior and academic expectations. The student body is fairly diverse ethnically and economically and there appear to be no cliques of haves and have nots. Most of the teachers are strong (only a few disappointments here and there) and expect a lot of the children and have the capacity and willingness to help get them there. The school leaders are approachable and genuinely seem to want to help meet the needs of all students and their families. The school is Catholic and the children receive daily religious instruction. Children from families of different faiths or no religious background, however, are still made to feel comfortable within the school. There is a strong sense of respect that pervades all social and academic components of the school."

"My son is in Kindergarten at St Raphael's and I would highly recommend this school to anyone seeking private education for their child. It has been wonderful for my son who is very shy....he has made lots of friends and absolutely loves his teachers. I am happy that he is in a school with Catholic/Christian values and teachings as well. It is a stark contrast to my public school experience with my older son. The school is not an "elitist" type of environment...it is very diverse with kids from lots of different backgrounds and socioeconomic status. I want my kids to be well rounded and be well educated in all things that matter in this life =) Check out St Raphael's school if you are thinking of private education for your child....you will be glad you did!"
