"I do not think that I could have attended a better school than Rancho Bernardo. The staff are very friendly; Principal Lemaster, along with other administrators, regularly walk around the campus and make conversations with the students. I liked that I was able to form a great relationship with my teachers; this has helped me a lot during my first year of college. Because of my previous experiences with my high school teachers, I was able to communicate well with my professors during my first year of college. Although Rancho Bernardo is an overall great school, I hope that they would ensure that the teachers are following what should be done campus-wide (i.e. ELP, or extended learning period, was not fully enforced. Instead of using that time for its purpose, some teachers still continue to lecture)."

"The fact that it is part of one of the top districts in San Diego and CA. It gives you great opportunities when thinking about going to college or starting your career right out of high school. Also, the sports all around are amazing."

"The administration is rude and unhelpful. For the college application help session, the counselors told us to open up the application and apply. For the financial aid session, the counselors played one video from the FAFSA website and then turned the stage over to a representative from the Grand Canyon University (a for profit Christian uni) who spent the next hour telling us to apply to the school. Since graduating, I called the school to check if any teachers could proctor a test for me. After explaining what I needed, the administrator on the phone told me "I didn't know what I was talking about". I repeated my question and she refused to even listen, telling me that I needed to "make sure I knew what I was talking about" before calling. She refused to even CHECK if any teachers could help me. The administration and select teachers are too busy worshipping the football players, cheerleaders and dancers to care about educational standards."

"RBHS is great b/c it has a lot of opportunities. They offer a wide range of AP classes, clubs, sports, and other programs. But a lot of this was ruined by the faculty. Not only do a lot teachers not know the material, some are also incredibly rude. A lot of people working in the office were also unpleasant. But there were some teachers I loved(shout out to Ms. Mich and Mr. Farber) and the principle is pretty great."

"I am grateful I was able to attend Rancho Bernardo all 4 years of high school. The main reason for this is because of the teachers. Teachers promote a collaborative environment which causes students to help each other academically, which prevents the toxic, cutthroat, free-for-all environment in some schools. Rancho Bernardo has a community feel to it. When I walk on campus, I feel like a bronco. There are so many opportunities to become involved with clubs and sports. Some students avoid sporting events and extracurriculars completely, but the majority find (or create) the perfect group for themselves."
