"When U look at a town like Union Beach that has no high school the choice is a vocational academy, Keyport rated 2 out of 10 or RBR with a rating of 7 out of 10. And you have a student who on the admission application scored last year 2.5 for grades out of 15 but this year scored 9 out of 15 your not looking at a students potential to improve, yet the school indicates you can pay privately and attend. Union Beach Parents should be able 2 chose what school there children go to and who receives those tax dollars either RBR, Keyport or St Johns etc... Children in Red Bank can score lower (they do not have to test) and still get access to the school then so should students of Union Beach who want the opportunity and if not Union Beach needs to have a receiving contract with a better high school then Keyport such as Holmdel, Hazlet or a catholic school you are looking at an additional 80-90 students each year."

"We relocated to this school from West Morris Mendham this year. While my kid loved Mendham, RBR has surpassed expectations. Academics and support services are on par, far more activities are offered at RBR and the community is diverse with a cool personality."

"RBR is a wonderfully blended high school with students from all walk of life because it is comprised of students from three very different sending districts, as well as being a magnet school for districts within the county who do not have a high school of their own. Kids from the mostly white, affluent district have their eyes opened to the real world when they come here and hence learn to appreciate all the have instead of expect it. Kids from the economically challenged minority district get a better sense of acceptable social and academic parameters. The academics at this school are stellar, with a myriad of performing and visual art majors offered, business and technology academies, AP, IB programs, and numerous academic support programs. Test results for this school deceivingly skew lower as they do not account for the significant percentage of students for whom English is second language."

"I am a current student there. the english department is great, as long as you are taking the challenging classes. Math needs some help though. there are a few teachers that are so smart that it is hard for them to help slower learners understand something that just comes naturally to them. The performing arts at RBR is excellent and many kids from out of district attend for it. Sports are pretty good, the coaching may be questionable. As a 4 year varsity athlete, I can tell you that being involved with sports is a very good thing for a student at RBR. Parents are very involved here. The Booster club is a parent run organization that raises money for any school progam that is runing low on funds. Also, most members on the Board of Education are parents of studnets at RBR."
