"Many of the teachers that have a career at Smithville High School take their time to make sure the lessons are fully understood, and that the students are cared for correctly. Majority of the teachers go beyond what is expected of them, therefor I truly believe that the teachers here are great. They both handle there business, all while being supportive and understanding. Honestly, there isn't much more a student could ask for in a teacher."

"The parents who take the time out of their day to come out and support our High School are really great individuals. The extra cheer in the crowd always pumps up the players, causing us to take home the wins. Their attendance is greatly appreciated."

"Smithville High has provided me with so many opportunities and made me feel more than prepared to pursue higher education. I would not have wanted to spend my life in any other town. My favorite experiences have been through school activities such as marching band and tennis. Luckily, this school has an amazing band director that puts so much time and effort into the program to make it the most enjoyable, successful experience. The tennis coach is also knows so much about the sport and is always update with techniques and what colleges are looking for. Everyone in this town is always so supportive of every activity. I think the school is unique in the fact that although we lack funds for programs, we manage to fundraise to get by as well as have a high number of involvement in activities regardless of the low amount of people in the school."

"The teachers at Smithville High work hard to ensure the students have proper education. Every year, the students are pushed more and more. The teachers are capable of teaching students od all different learning styles in one lesson. If any student is having a bad day, there are numerous faculty members that would have their door open for them in a heart beat. The sense of community in the school is very strong. The one thing that bothers me is the multiple ways of grading. No two teachers grade the same, therefore, as a student, you have to remember the different guidelines to follow for each teacher and hope you do not get them mixed up. Overall, our teachers caring, knowledgeable people that push each and every student to do better than they think they can."
