"I am really surprised at the numbers reported on this site about the students of Smithridge. The population of Smithridge 90% hispanic, 77% ELL, 100% free lunch and breakfast. There is approx. a 49% transcient population ... These numbers come from WCSD website. If your student goes to Smithridge continually you will get a good education, however if your student excells they may be forgotten because the majority of students need extra support to meet standards."

"My children had great teachers at Smithridge. My son is now in the IB program and my daughter is getting all at school. The teachers encoursge her to creative in her writing and her math improved greatly. She exceeds all the standards on her test. I feel very welcome at the school and volunteer many times."

"Mostly newer, unexperienced teachers. Problems with communication about GT testing. Religious undertones (some might like that though). Teachers seem impatient, emotionally negative and unprepared. Failed NCLB 3 years in a row."
