"In my two years of attending Richmond Hill High School, I found that not very many teachers cared about their students, and looked forward to leaving rather than staying behind and assisting students with work they didn't understand. One positive piece I took away from this school was the athletic department. The coaches were much more helpful than any teacher I've dealt with, and being involved in sports helped me to enjoy my last two years of high school more."

"The teachers at Richmond Hill High School were not always the most professional, and in the past the school had dealt with teachers who had acted unprofessional and had fired them in the end. When it came to teaching, the styles were not always easy to follow or understand, but on occasion the teacher would re-explain the problem and try to help students. Not very many teachers did this in the two years I attended Richmond Hill. The few teachers that did help however, sought to further the students in their class rather than ignore them, and gave a few good pieces of advice along the way. One teaching style that had never helped me nor my classmates, was answering a question I or they had asked with another question. Not understanding the material being taught to me and then having my question replied with another one was one of the more frustrating things I had taken with me through my high school education. Many teachers at this high school were very focused on making sure the students made the bare minimum on standardized testing, and often lived their lives waiting for the bell to ring at 3:30 every week-day. One thing that made this high school tolerable were the few teachers that did care about their students. Those were the teachers I admired and thanked for helping when I graduated in 2015. One of whom helped me pursue my passion in Criminal Justice, the degree I'm currently in at college."

"Little racial or economic diversity. A place where people who deviate from certain standards feel unsafe sharing their views or being themselves."

"The social scene at our school is, I would say, average. You have the normal different cliques so its pretty normal."
