"The faculty at this school is terrific everyone cares about student achievement and safety unfortunately a small population of the student body does not value learning and has poor behavior and work ethics. The A.P program is outstanding and sports are very good. It is not a perfect school but it would improve if everyone worked together to enforce discipline and high academic standards."

"It is awful that a school with such hard working teachers are not being helped by the girls varsity soccer coach. Academics should come first!!!!! Im not sure how his policies are accepted by administration. My daughter was trying out for varsity, not only did weight training and goally proactice with the varsity coach off season to show how dedicated she was, but was denied getting out 15 min early twice a week to take her Kaplan prepcourse that is only 3 weeks long. He didn't even give me a chance to explain the situation, refered me to the ahtletic director which told me thats his policy any girl gets out early, she cant try out for varsity she will have to stay in JV. I then spoke to the Vic principal and she said the same thing. Didn;t even offer to talk to the coach about it. Whey have a Vice principal in athletics if coaches can do what they want. tha is scarry."

"This is a safe school for students. The reviews that state student body has racial tension are (as of the past 4 years) completely false. I am your standard white kid and not once have I felt threatened by my peers. As for students that did experience physical harm their parents might not have the full story on how that came to pass. I give this school a 3 because of truly terrible administration and counselors. When you have an IQ of 138 its annoying to be spoken to as an idiot."

"My son got two D's and wanted to retake the classes to actually learn. I met with counselors and they said not to worry, he didn't need those anyway and even said he could just fail the two he was in now and they would put him in two Teacher's Aid classes next semester. I pulled him out that day, he was a Junior. Oh, did I mention he was assaulted by kids at his school off campus just riding a skateboard - they tried to rob him and gave him a concussion and small brain bleed! My daughter was getting poor grades because if she did well she got teased by her "friends". I also pulled her out and moved my family out of AV."

"Unfortunately, it's true that overcrowding is an issue at this school. The school was originally designed for about 2200 students. Portables have been added to accommodate the increase, but while that provides more classroom space the cafeteria, gyms, and quad remain the same. Simply getting lunch becomes a major ordeal. As a result LnHS has gone to a double lunch, but because of the confusing block schedule some classes are split in half. Many students end up with first lunch one day and second lunch the next. Furthermore, the focus on test scores in core subjects has led to a complete lack of vocational classes. This district's focus on college prep leaves no options for the vast majority of students who don't go on to a four-year institution."
