"I went to Quartz Hill High myself and have worked at several other high schools in the district since. Quartz Hill is by far my favorite. As a student, I always had great teachers, who were interested in their subject matter and helpful when I had questions. Office staff was always friendly when I needed them. I never had any problems at the school during the time that I attended. As an employee, I always worked with great staff members who, for the most part, enjoyed their jobs and worked hard at them, always with students in mind. Never had any problems with any other staff members. Most of the students that I worked with were always polite and eager to learn and help when the opportunity arose. When my children get to high school I will gladly enroll them at QHHS. The only other school that I might consider is SOAR, but the rest of the districts high schools are far below even decent standards for a high school."

"I went to Quartz Hill High from 2007-2011 and I loved it. I had some of the most amazing teachers ever! Yes we had a lot of student but we definitely did not have a lot of drama. Out of all my four years there I must have seen about 7 physical fights within students(all underclassmen). If you're kids have drama that's their own fault because I never had a problem there. There is almost 4,000 students and of course you are not going to get along with everyone. I Met some great people and made lifetime friends. Graduated with honors, participated in many events and sports and had a lot of fun. A lot of people don't realize how fortunate we are to have gone to a school with some actual school spirit and that offers activities. Absolutely every student I met in high school that had previously gone to another high school in the AV said that Quartz Hill was 100% safer, cleaner, and had way more activities. My experience was amazing and I am a very proud Rebel!!"

"First of all, if your child and her friends are failing out of a school, maybe it has more to do with your parenting and who you allow your child to hang out with. Sorry, but that had to be said. As has previously been said, Quartz HIll High School gives you all the tools you need to succeed. My child is in the IB program, and in athletics - doing very well in both. The school has tutoring options if your child is struggling, over 100 clubs for your child to become involved in extracurricular activities, and provides a safe atmosphere for all of it. What more do you want? Well...I give it 4 stars instead of 5 just because it's so crowded. But hey, it's a public school in California, so should I be shocked? I moved to this area so I could provide safety and quality schooling for my children, without having to also pay an extra $15,000/yr for private school. That's exactly what I got, and I couldn't be more satisfied. If you're a parent, and not merely a buddy to your child, Quartz Hill HS will more than fit your needs."

"My daughter and her friends all failed out of this high school. Their are way too many students and not enough individual attention. The children who fail out go to a separate continuation school and are not a part of the statistics, which they should be. Also, only a small percentage of graduates go on to college. How did they score an 8?"

"My daughter graduated from QHHS in 2007 and is doing great at a UC University. My son will be graduating in 2008. I never expected the school to make my kids super students, that was our job at home. At school they got the education, at home they got the inspiration, motivation, praise and love they needed to succeed. We never paid them for good grades, that was their reward for hard work. We made sure they knew how proud we were and that we know how much time and effort they put into it and it did not go unnoticed. My kids are proud of QHHS"
