"My experience in Newburgh free academy is great because u meet new people every year. It's a great school to go to and this is the only school that has what you want to study for. Like for example this school has what you want to become in the future. It also helps you get started for college and the real world. Instead of starting in college where they might hurry you up to learn most of the things. It's a great school to go to and meet new people that can become your friend later on. Teachers can also help you on anything like school work right after school."

"NFA has a bad reputation, but it is not nearly as bad as outsiders make it out to be. As with most anything in life, you're going to get out of it what you put in into it. Most teachers are willing to stay after or work with you on a free period if you ask. Many of the textbooks are outdated though so it would be nice to see the source materials be updated."

"Newburgh Free Academy is a great high school. The school has so many extracurriculars to offer from a drama program to a culinary program. There are so many different options of study that go beyond the basic core subjects. Additionally, the school has very good honors and AP programs. The AP courses offered truly do prepare students for college classes. The school is known for its art program which is amazing. The school offers dance, musical theater, and a series of advanced art courses including ceramics and photography. the school has a lot to offer. If you are a student who likes to have options and experiment with different courses I would highly recommend this high school for you."

"Although Newburgh is a very diverse district and gives a lot of opportunities for students to succeed the school is not welcoming. The teachers don't push their students to the best of their abilities and the atmosphere is distracting."

"I thoroughly enjoy feeling like I am in the real world when I am at NFA Main, not only because of the diverse student population and crowded hallways, but also because of the plethora of classes and extracurricular activities that are readily available for students to choose from. I think my school prepares students for their lives beyond graduation by preparing them to work efficiently and make their own decisions in responsible ways. However, I think that my school can change for the better by increasing student involvement an enjoyment within the classroom, especially in Regulars' classes."
