"Student: Male, all advanced classes, AVID participant, 4.0 GPA Pros: Principle and most of staff are incredible. Lots of help available through WIMBA and other tutoring programs. Math program with Ms. Edwards and math sponsor (forgot his name) are positive, well developed experiences in part because both instructors are able to present material in a number of ways for understanding and encourage math exploration. Cons: Not many instructors encourage creative and independant thought. This could be due to FCAT requirements having to be met. Spanish instructor can be a little disconnected at times with parent so if you are monitoring student progrees, you must take the initiative to follow up. Extracurricular activities (math competition, basketball, running, science projects, etc.) abound but the parent must be proactive in obtaining information on this as it is not posted on the Kennedy website and flyers are not aways forthcoming, especially if child was out the day the flyer was distributed."

"I've got to say I loved this school for my son. They expect the best out of everyone and are always there to help those that need it. The programs offered are wonderful and the teachers are excellent. I truely felt my son would be more than ready to enter High School and meet or exceed expectations there."

"This school is the worst school. Teachers at KMS are horrible for the 2009-10 School Year."

"I may be partial in my opinion of this school because I'm employed here, but because I can post anonymously you should be assured I am being honest. Reading the comments about the rude person that answers the phone is likely true. We do have a front office employee who comes off as abrasive. I should add however that she is a hard worker otherwise. As for the teachers, administration and support, they are almost all top notch. They really do care about the students here and will work with any struggling student to bring up their grades and be successful. There are a lot of extracurricular activities and they make them accessible to everyone, including those students that can't get a ride early in the morning or after school."

"I have gone to this school and so has my little sister! It's a great school and all the teachers are great! They have fun activites and everything is planned perfect! They have an AVID program that's great and there part of the cambridge program! Every teacher recomends taking notes and they do cornell style notes it's easy and helpful on test and quizes! If you live near the awesome school and have a kid going into middle school soon i'd recomend this school 100%"
