"This school is great, your student can get a good education and succeed. Thestudents have to work at it as with everything, nobody is going to give it to them, alot of the comments seem negative, any time my family has had an issue we spoke with staff or the principal and the issue was taken care of, you have to be actively involved in your childs education."

"EHS has great teachers and staff - my son is band also and being he applies himself gets good grades! Glad to hear a parent show concern! We need more parents involved in students education."

"I am the mother of a student who is one of the top student at this school. My child is also involved in athletics at the varsity level. I have always been a very involved parent. In Middle school I was a member of the school site council for 4 years. However, at Eastside High School ever since the new principal took over two years ago my opportunities for parental involvement have been negatively affected. I have tried to be part of council or committes on several times but my attempts have been ignored or denied. This principal is only chosing the parents that he wants which are usually the same parents from School site council. It is quite obvious that at this high school parents are not treated fairly or professionally either. It is extremely disappointing that the district office supports such as discriminatory acts against parents in a public school. : ( They emphazise that parental involvement is important but in reality that is just not the case, at least not at Eastside High School."
