"This school recently 2008 got a new principal who has a tremendous amount of experience with technology. One of his goals is to bring more technology to the classroom. I like the small size of the school, and how the teachers, know all of the students, not just their own. My daughter has had a wonderful experience so far, even the chef in the cafeteria is thoughtful and knows all of the kids. My daughter also participates in the after school and before school care. the staff there is wonderful. I like that it is broken into two age groups, K-2 and 3-6. They do wonderful arts and crafts, stories, and lots of running around outside."

"Overall, I believe the academic quality of the education at MLK is very high. The teachers are very commited and involved with their students, even after they have moved on to a new grade level. The total population of the school is around 500 students -- just about the right size. Parent involvement is very high and the PTA is very strong. The music and afterschool art programs provide a good selection of extracurricular activities. MLK K-8 is a great environment for children to learn and grow."
