"I personally had a great high school experience. There's a laziness to the school and the atmosphere though. The teachers and the students are lethargic about their subjects and no one really truly cares. It feels like a family, very comfortable and everyone knows everyone closely. No arts programs, very very poor in that department."

"With this school being in a small town in an area that doesn't have too much cultural diversity anyway, it is hard to break the homogeneous identity of typical Caucasian, Iron Range people that can be stubborn and not always accepting of other cultures. However, there is acceptance of racial differences and incredible acceptance of students with disabilities. Sexual orientation has not been a well-respected issue until 3 years ago when a senior and her girlfriend were known to be having a serious relationship. I have not heard of any other openly gay students in the previous 2 years, but there was an observance of National Day of Silence during this school year, a first for this school. Students were allowed to get bracelets during the Day of Silence that would help instructors know who was observing the day and would not have to answer oral questions. Many students are involved in at least one extracurricular activity, and about 90% of those students are involved in multiple activities within the school."

"I was not completely ready for college after graduation. The real world hit me like a brick wall so I took a year off and just worked at McDonald's. During my year off I saved enough money to attend vocational school. I am currently in my final semester and I have decided to go back to school in the fall."
