"This school provides a great environment for students to get to know each other and work together. It was easy to make friends with both students and teachers, and both groups of people were willing to help me when I was struggling. My favorite experience happens to be attending a chemistry class with a teacher who was only employed at the school for that one year. She was extremely good at simplifying the complex processes for the students to completely understand, and she was very friendly too. I had a wonderful time attending this school, but I did have a few experiences that make me hesitant to choose this school again. Those experiences include being excluded from sports teams because of their intense passion to win as well as being assigned excessive amounts of homework almost every day from 10th grade onward. The coaches would boast that they were willing to take anyone on the team as long as they were willing to learn. However, if someone happened to be too slow or too large for the stereotype of that sport, the person could be rejected. This happened to me as well as to a good friend of mine who was actually very talented at their preferred sport. The homework load was quite outrageous as well. Many students, including myself, were required to stay up late into the hours of the night to finish assignments that were due the next day. Even my parents were concerned for my health, as I would often stay up past one in the morning to complete various assignments. Other than those issues, I think that Loma Linda Academy is a very good school."

"There are many teachers who truly care that the students are learning the material that they are being given, but there are some who do not. For the most part, the teachers try to adapt their teaching styles to the behavior of their classes so that each student gets the most that they can out of their class period. Many of the teachers even make themselves available after school hours to help students that are struggling. Though that does not necessarily guarantee that the student is adequately helped."

"The teachers were always willing to spend extra time with students to make sure that they understood the information and more importantly they didn't use their authority for us to fear them but were very personal and seemed to have the best interest at heart for each individual."

"Being able to grow up with the same people coming to Loma Linda Academy in fifth grade and going all the way through to graduation, I was able to make several friendships that still carry on to this day. The teachers from elementary, middle school, and high school I still hold relationships with and they were always able to keep our heads on our shoulders. All of our teachers were respectable and became not only a teacher but a friend. I would choose Loma Linda Academy all over again because I was able to share my religion at a young age with my friends. At a public school that would not have been as easy or accepted and I think that is something that shaped who I am today."

"I made memories but for the most part all I did was studying. I was not super involved with the social life."
