"The students are involved and are very academically driven which pressures other students to be academically driven as well. Overall they are respectful, understanding, and open-minded. The demographic community we live in has a majority of Asians, Indians, and Whites, so the school is also made mostly of the three ethnicities. Hispanic follows white and so on."

"The peer pressure and challenges of living up to the standard of attending a 4 year university or an ivy league is insane. It makes everyone stressed out, and it makes everyone feel the need that they have to be perfect."

"DNHS is known for its academics. The school offers many types of classes and AP classes and the teachers are very knowledgeable- it is difficult for teachers to get hired to teach at this school."

"We're widely known for our academics and curriculum. I feel as if the teachers are the best, and really want you to excel and be at your best. With curriculum, it is harder than other schools, and sometimes hard to follow along with, but teachers do help you if you need help. With schedules, it's hard to decide which classes to take, but counselors help."

"Overall, Del Norte High School is a very safe, welcoming, and encouraging school. The student's overall wellbeing and success are the top priorities for the school. Overall the students are kind and respectful and the teachers are very compassionate and knowledgeable. Bullying was almost unheard of and the policy that was broken the most by students was academic honesty. The students are very academically driven but are also involved in the many clubs and organizations offered at the school. The school is very supportive and is a fantastic foundation and preparation for college."
