"Palm Academy is the absolute most wonderful school. No student is lost in the crowd and expected to do everything like everyone else. Faculty respects each students' needs to help strengthen personal development and individuality. The teachers are unique and often time serve as mentors. Field trips are common, yet not a waste of time. Students get a chance to help the community, feeling a sense of accomplishment and appreciation. Such outings have included a trip to the Cabrillo National Monument tidepools, helping feed the homeless at St. Vincent de Paul Center, and building homes with Habitat For Humanity. Palm has a new building which Principal Kevin Nicolls passionately designed with his students in mind and had much input from students that was far from ignored. I cannot write enough positive things about Palm; I suggest you go visit, get the tour, and find out if its right for your child."
