"Most of these comments are out-dated. Travis has a lovely, new facility and was a TEA Recognzied campus last year. Teachers and administrators are caring, and the instruction is excellent. Recently, it was one of only 42 schools in the nation to receive the Green Ribbon Award for teaching and modeling environmental responsibility."

"Travis is an excellent elementary school. First off, it is brand new, with good facilties, library, and lots of outdoor room. The GT program is excellent as is the teacher Ms Suarez. San Marcos schools have improved so much. The schools are diverse, and I think that has caused a very mistaken perception of the schools. It is a great represnetation of the diversity in South Texas. Our children love Travis and have made many friends there in no time."

"I feel that Travis is not a very good school. I beleive that 'Not students left behind' is not what the school is about. I think the school tends to forget about the students, and the leader of the school tends to forget why she is there. I can't wait to move out of the district!"

"Travis was orgionally a 3rd-5th grade school and the teachers are more suited to those grade levels. I find they lack the patience with kinder and 2nd grade students and do not tailor punishments to fit the crime nor the age of the child. Look into getting some younger teachers travis and maybe your younger students would thrive some one with more patience is truly needed. Perhaps someone who is not biding their last few years til retirement."

"Travis has many excellent teachers, but is housed in a dilapidated old school. District plans to update the facility in 2005-06."
