"Overall, I have had great teachers at MA. I have had issues with a couple and some have been average, but when I look back on all of the teachers Ive had, most are amazing. Knowledgable, dedicated, and thoroughly interested in the students."

"The teachers at this school are one of the primary reasons that make Marin Academy such a well-rounded and cohesive education and experience. I've met some of the most passionate, happy, fulfilled, curious, and enriching teachers who have sincerely cared about my ideas and dedicated their time to make sure I've received a holistic education. They are probably my favorite aspect about this high school and are definitely worth the tuition"

"This school is wonderful in so many ways and some of my favorite memories will be the hilarious and enriching moments in classrooms where it feels like one big discussion and all members have space to share and receive their thoughts. I love the teachers I have met and honestly consider them second parents they care that much. Because of the small class size they have so much more freedom and time to teach students in the most engaging and personal way as possible. This school is unique because there are only final exams in the winter because instead of exams in the spring, we have End of Year projects which include a scrapbook project on WWII, a mock trial, drafting a law, and others. I also have loved the Human Development courses which are required semesters courses in the freshmen and sophomore years. I became a Hum Dev teacher assistant and have essentially co-taught the material to freshmen students as a junior. It has pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me grow in ways I wouldn't have in the classroom. The only thing that makes me hesitate when I think about choosing Marin Academy again if I could do it all over is the kind of people that attend the school. The disparity and wealth gap between the students as well as a staggering lack of socioeconomic and racial diversity makes the educational experience feel sheltered and stuffy. I haven't particularly found best friends at this school because of the culture of wealth and status that is so prevalent on and off campus."
