"Being an alumni from BHSN I am grateful for all the resources I had while in school, that being from teachers, programs, classes, sports, etc. I graduated an entire semester early with Academic & Technical Honors from North. The only reason I made it that far is because of the teachers efforts put into students and the resources and challenging classes that the school had to offer. Not to mention that physical challenge of being on the female soccer team. The push and that my coach embedded in our heads has carried me so far in my adult life already. Being more than grateful for having graduated from North, I would do it all over again in a heart beat."

"My experience hasn't been that great. I'm bullied a lot and just now learning to get stronger. Kids don't leave me a lone but I guess that's not much on the staff there. The school is okay enough to go to depending on who you are. Despite all that the academics are good and we have a lot of resources here."

"Bloomington High School North has so far been a great experience for me. The art programs are absolutely stunning, and as a member of the band program, I can say that it has truly changed my life. The academics are satisfactory as well and I appreciate the opportunities I've had to delve into honors courses to suit my individual needs. The student body is generally pleasant."

"Overall, my time at BHSN has been pretty good, but I had to work for a lot of what I have achieved. There is an underlying class system based on involvement in clubs/organizations such as BSDM (Bloomington South Dance Marathon), Student Council, and NHS, as the upperclassmen tend to play favorites and only already popular students get in and have a voice. I ended up quitting Student Council because I didn't feel very motivated or heard in that organization and knew that I wasn't going to be able to hold a leadership role. However, for a smaller school, we have a lot of AP, Dual-Credit, and College classes that we can take. This has helped me to stand out during college applications. Teachers are a mixed bag, though, but there are bound to be passionate and inspiring teachers (shout out to my APUSH and Ethnic Studies/History of the 60s teachers!).Overall, BHSN is a pretty alright school and I'll miss it more than I'll let on."

"I liked the teachers that I have had, and most of my classes. I like that North has a lot of options for fine arts, technology, and language classes. Not many high schools offer Japanese. I do wish that the administration would do a better job at handling bullies, fights, and sexual assault though."
