"As a female athlete, I do not see a lot of student involvement at girl sports. But, there is a lot of student involvement at basketball and football games. Our student section at those sports are large and rowdy. But besides that, I believe that the students are very accepting of the racial diversity at our school. I do not believe people are as accepting with sexual orientation."

"I was extremely nervous coming into my freshman year. It was a huge transition from private school to public school. But, the teachers were amazing. I got involved with some clubs at north and met a lot of new people. Playing a varsity sport also made me more comfortable."

"I have been in a variety of classes. Most of my classes are honor or AP classes. The workload is rigorous, but the teachers are there to help us succeed. They offer tutoring/reviewing during tutorials. Teachers are also available before and after school to help with any trouble you are having."

"The thing I like most about North is that it is very open-minded. Lots of queer kids attend the school, and it is nice that the school is considered a safe place for most of us. Plus the teachers are the best teachers I've ever had. The only reason I wouldn't choose that school again to do it all over is because the administration doesn't do anything when people are bullying or harassing others."

"The teachers at Bloomington High School North work hard to help students succeed to the fullest. If a class isn't doing well in general, it is usually because students aren't paying attention despite the teacher's efforts. In all of the classes I've had so far, very few times have graded papers been returned at later dates than expected. Teachers are very consistent. And they are all a lot of fun! Plus most are very open and will communicate with students individually if a problem is going on. They treat students with respect and will make sure everyone gets the lesson before moving on."
