"For someone with a superb band program who the local directors of other schools wow us, an amazing new tech program that was named top 3 and dual enrollment at Bay Arenac and community colleges, such as Delta there are plenty of opportunities to succeed."

"(Cont.) And yes, person that made the comment on November 26, 2008, we have people in our High School that work at our nearby McDonald's, but not because they are dropouts (because the nearby one doesn't accept undergraduates in the first place); it is because we are trying to make more money to go to colleges. Going off of that, I am pleased to say that our High School gives many opportunities to go to early colleges and technical schools, so don't complain about lack of opportunity. I am a Freshman at Meridian Public Schools, and I am proud to say that I go to Meridian."

"This is just a comment regarding the statement made on November 25, 2008. When touting the merits of the education you received, you may want to say, "Meridian is the only school I have gone to" as opposed to your statement of "Meridian is the only school I've went to". Is you grammar a reflection of your education? I say, "Yes". Therefore, do your own evaluation."

"Meridian, for a smaller school, is a great one. Meridian is definitely the best school in its conference. Meridian excels in both academics and sports and has a superb band program set up. The band is up to 5 times larger then similarly sized schools and it can rival Midland's band. Recently the school has been completely remodeled and upgraded. There are also college prep. programs offered that are excellent use if continuing your education. The school is small though and is limited on classes, but it offers dual enrollment in which you can acquire a class through a larger school. Overall, the teachers are very helpful in making sure you learn everything you need to know to continue your education. Because of it's small size Meridian does lack in some opportunities such as diverse classes, but the small size helps when it comes to having helpful and personable teachers."

"I have 4 adults that graduated from Meridian, first two are in grad school last two still undergrads. All are of the opinion that their schooling was woefully inept and substandard. Meridian has great preperatory programs for gas station attendant's or fast food operations. The counseling program is awful and a majority of the teachers have no business being in a school system. Unfortunatly the new administration is more concerned in local politics than education."
