"My husband and I graduated from Santa Fe High in 2000. We both went on obtain a masters and doctorate degree. The students for the most part are nice at SFISD. The city is sterotyped as a bunch of "red necks" but there are a lot of good people in Santa Fe. I would not live anywhere else and believe me I have lived a lot of places. My children attend SFISD elementary and we like the school. I just want people to know SFHS does not always get the credit it deserves. Several of my friends who attended SFISD are now a Dentist, Physical Therapist, Pharmacist, Veterinarians, Teachers, etc. SFISD produces educated people! My only suggestion is I wish the school would put more money into their Career Technology program for seniors. The kids need more vocational certifications so they can go to work right after high school!"

"The kids are being taught to never give up....never ever. Teachers are spending lots of time with kids that want to learn & counseling those that don't as to why they should. They are going the extra mile."

"It is an average school, but there could be more discipline put forth from the teachers. In my personal experience at other schools, I'd say Santa Fe could push us, the student body, harder to prepare us for college."

"This school is awful, my kids were doing great here, but when I moved they were so far behind it took massive amounts of tutoring to get them up to the other kids. They are doing great now but I would never let them go back there, the teachers don't care and the principals are worse. Teach the taks is their motto!!"

"Wow.. It's Santa Fe! Everyone that goes to Santa Fe knows. Its just like every school some teachers are willing to go that extra mile some are not so willing. I believe if you want to exceed you can, its about what the student want. I will always look back and remember fun times and grat people! Former student of Santa Fe High 2004 Lacy"
